Game Description :
The Pokémon encounter tables have been changed significantly to make wild Pokémon more interesting. When you play the game, you will see that the HeartGold and SoulSilver encounter tables are now mixed with the new ones from Crystal. This was done to make the game feel like it is from the Pokémon people,e but also to make it a little different and fun. You might remember that in Crystal, all you can find is Phanpy and Teddiursa early in the morning, ing right after you start the game. This is also in Pure Heart and True Soul, now and there are other Pokémon like that, too. For example, you can find Sneasel in the Ice Path and even Growlithe on Route 36. In True Soul, you can find Vulpix or Growlithe.
The Route 36 area now has a patch of grass as it did in Crystal, so you can catch a Growlithe or Vulpix before you even get to Falkner. I do not have to look for someone to trade with to evolve those Pokémon. I also do not have to wait until after I finish the game to find the items I need for some evolutions. Heart and Soul has a new item called the Linking Cord. I can buy the Linking Cord in the Pokéathlon Dome. The Linking Cord is like the one from Legends: Arceus. I can use the Linking Cord on Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, and Haunter to evolve them. I can also get all the evolution stones and items I need for Pokémon that evolve in games.
I can get these items after I beat Archer at the Radio Tower and before I challenge the Pokémon League. I do not have to wait until I get to Blue to evolve my Togetic. There was a problem with HeartGold and SoulSilver that made it hard for people to evolve some Pokémon. Now I can evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon. I can also evolve Magneton into Magnezone and Nosepass into Probopass. They added the Mossy Rock and Icy Rock from Platinum to Viridian Forest and Seafoam Islands. The area around the Kanto Power Plant, on Route 1,0, is now a place where magnets work. The Johto Pokédex now includes the evolutions that I can get.
